Can CBD improve your sleep?

A restful night sleep is one of the best feelings in the world. Waking up in the morning with an energised and refreshed feeling. It is too bad that the most of us don’t experience that kind of sleep regularly. Some of us are struggling to fall a sleep or wake up in the middle of the night.

138 million Europeans struggle with some sort of sleep-related problem. The medical world has a numerous of treatments or medicines for this, but most of them don’t work on long term, have side-effects or don’t work at all. This is were we can get some benefits from CBD products.

More and more people claim that CBD helps them fall asleep, stay asleep or both. It is still a largely unstudied subject. Still many people find that CBD is actually working for them.

With the information we have about CBD, it definitely is possible that CBD does improve your sleep quality. Reduce feelings of anxiety or pain are two things that CBD can do. These things can be a large contributing factors to poor sleep. By reducing these symptoms of sleepless nights, it is possible that CBD can improve your sleep quality. 

Can CBD help you sleep?

There are a handful of studies that give us some information about what CBD can do to improve your sleep. 

One study found that CBD helped lower anxiety levels and improve sleep scores. The participants that had a reduced anxiety level experienced reduced symptoms over time and those with improved sleep scores did sleep better, although sustained results fluctuated more. 

The idea that CBD can be a powerful tool to help reduce anxiety and thus improve sleep over a period of time, is supported by this study. 

Other studies continue to support the idea that CBD can reduce feelings of anxiety and other symptoms that interfere with a restful night’s sleep. 

There aren’t a lot of conclusive answers about how CBD can affect or improve your sleep, but some studies gives us some promising results that is worth trying.

Using CBD for sleep

For the ones that wake up feeling groggy or not refreshed from their night sleep, taking CBD in the evening, 30 minutes before going to bed, is worth the try. 

Tip: If you want more energy in the morning or want to fall a sleep in the evening, adding CBD to your cup of tea in the morning or evening might be a good idea. This soothing moment can help you relax before bed or help to wake you up in the morning.
